"Dr. Opender Singh started his career as an Advocate enrolled in the Maharashtra Bar, in Maharashtra, India, working in the Bombay High Court and Small Causes courts. From there he transitioned to being a journalist. He spent 12 years in Journalism. covering local, crime, political events to national and international events and reached the level of a Special Correspondent with the Patriot Newspaper. At that point he had the opportunity to cover the Lok Sabha, The Rajya Sabha which is akin to the US House of Representatives and the Senate.
He also had the opportunity to Cover foreign affairs and got a scholarship to spend 6 months in Europe and then travelled the world for another six months.
He was able to cover the 1983 Non- Aligned Summit which Fidel Castro and Yasser Arafat attended.
He also covered the 1984 events and was a witness to the 1984 Sikh Genocide.
When he came to the US he started with working in convenience stores, owned one and then dabbled in Hollywood as a producer and actor before becoming an educational consultant for a group of EdTech companies back in India and shuttled the world in the cause of innovative education."
Dr. Singh will talk about Hon. Rai Bilal Akram Bhatti and his recent visit to California.
